When you want to be part of the healthcare industry, there are a lot of positions you can choose from. You can be a doctor, a nurse, a caregiver, a pharmacist, a medical technician, etc. If being a pharmacist is your choice, here are a few things that you should do. When you are in high school, you should focus on studying classes such as biology, chemistry, or anything related to science. Also, you shouldn’t forget about math, because this is actually an important subject that you should master when taking up pharmacy and getting into pharmacy management service. After high school, you should get a school that specializes in pharmacy and get a degree there. In college, you get to have more specialized courses on pharmacy such as pathophysiology, human anatomy, etc. After completing all subjects, you then get your diploma, B.S. in Pharmacy.
After college, you could not jump into being a pharmacist already, you should first review everything you have learned and then take a licensure exam. There are a lot of exams given in different states and different times so that should not be a problem. Also, the license for pharmacists can be used in any state, so no matter where you take the exam, you can still practice in any place you prefer. After passing the board exam, it is now time to become an intern and become part of the pharmacy management services. Here you get to practice and apply what you have learned in college. After a few months or years of internship, you are now ready to be a professional pharmacist.
